Vester Folding eBike
Summary: This bike is brilliant and I could not imagine a better bike being available anywhere.
Main review: It looks great and feels quite unique as I have only ever seen one other one whilst out and about – this is a good thing. The folding mechanism is very easy to understand and complete with one fold in the frame and another at the handlebar stem. Handlebar and seat height are very easy to adjust. Front light is integrated and it took me a moment or three to work out how to switch it on and off, but it is in the manual (I just didn’t read it) and the electric horn is a bonus. Battery charges quickly and is fully removeable so you don’t need to take the bike into your living room to charge it up.
Handling is fantastic with the chunky tyres and I’ve had no issues going down kerbs or over semi-rough terrain. Electric assist is very responsive and makes even steep hills feel like you’re on the flat. Also works brilliant as an un-powered pedal cycle with seven manual gears. I love it.
Other considerations: In order to offer a truly balanced view of this bike, I feel I must offer the following information for you to consider before making a purchase. This bike it not light, coming in at a little over 4 stone – this is not something that you are going to carry up 4 flights of stairs when you get to work. The folding mechanism is great, but the bile is unlikely to fit in the boot of a small hatchback. I have an estate car and it fits fine – in anything smaller you may be struggling without dropping down at least one back seat. Hygge bikes are beautiful and desirable – despite a very good lock, mine has been stolen. If you are leaving it in a public place – invest in two good locks and park it somewhere visible, secure or in view of CCTV.
Conclusion: Buy a Hygge bike – you will not regret it.
great and speedy service and delivery time spot vester lite was so easy to assembled and great looking bike and very nice to ride
I got a chance to get my hands on the hygge vester for my husband, it is amazing my husband loves it. The battery is amazing and the customer support is amazing too. I am highly satisfied and recommend it.
I was looking for a ebike to help with commuting and to also get fit and there were many brands I looked at including known brands like Fiido and Estarli and I found this brand.
The bike you could tell was very well made and looked quality and after a mostly easy setup I had a quick ride around my village and found even been on a upper end of the bikes limit the bike was still able to power me around hills of course required harder pedalling but I know with a normal bike I would be struggling way way more.
Bike does take getting used to folding but that's not the bikes fault it's a user issue overall the bike is excellent and well built the Vester 2024 model and the company is excellent I prob bored some guy called Brian on the chat with questions but he answered everyone perfectly and that is another thumbs up.
Hygge Bikes based in East London were fair with me as I had a battery issue to be resolved. I found the Manager absolutely trustworthy and straight in every way. The bike itself is well made and ideal for picking up groceries (with panniers) or popping out for a longer ride and I have even tackled the 600 ft South Downs a few times now. I have taken it out onto the Downs where the pedal assist is a real asset and makes life fun; able to see the beautiful scenery as I cycle by. The bike gets favourable attention and when I was at a local ''Car Boot Sale'' I must have been asked about the bike 4 or 5 times. The build quality is good and the welding is neat. This bike serves as a good foil for my road bike and I enjoy a casual evening ride which helps my fitness with some nice pedal assistance from the hub motor which means I work the pedals but have a little help. A nice package and the ''Designed in Denmark'' logo with the ''Hygge'' name speaks of a relaxing Scandinavian chum and a great addition for myself to my trusty road bike and very pleasing overall package.
